School Certified Loans?

Postby amp2008 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 5:47 pm

Hey I was wondering what happens with a school certified loan? I know the money gets directed towards Drexel but what happens if you need the money to buy a laptop or something? How do I find out how the money is allocated??

Hello amp2008,

I sent your question to a Financial Aid advisor and this was her response.

Any loan money is allocated equally over the terms of enrollment. If a student has a private loan that they would like to be disbursed unevenly they need to submit a letter to our office making this request and justify why they need their living expenses for the year in a different fashion.
If you have any further questions, you can call the Financial Aid hotline at (215) 895-2537.

I hope this helps!
