I know that we have to read this book, but is it ok if i just read it or do i have to buy it. I know it says that we are going to discuss it in english so i wasnt sure if i would have to bring a copy to class or if just knowing what its about would be enough.

It all depends on your professor. Most will require you to read it and some require for you to have it. For now, if you could just get a copy to read without buying it I would go ahead and do that. When you find out your class schedule and professors, ask your professor before classes start (via email) if they require you to purchase the book. They have the book for sale in the school store.
