Gay, Lesbian, or Bisexual?

Do you play an instrument? Are you an exercise nut? Attached to your Playstation or Wii? And do you want to live with someone with similar interests? Talk about it here! :)

Is homosexuality acceptable? (even the PDA!)

Yes, I love seeing a happy gay/lesbian couple!

Gay, Lesbian, or Bisexual?

Postby sapphirexwavesx on Wed Apr 30, 2008 5:45 pm

I was just wandering about the LGBT community at Drexel. Are there any groups or clubs? Is it organized? Are most people open to homosexuality? Anyone that is gay, bisexual, lesbian, tran., etc (or just knows alot about the gay community on campus) I would greatly appreciate their knowledge on the subject.

I am straight but I've been a member of my High School's GSA since Freshman year. From what I can get through my searching abilities there doesnt really seem to be any sort of organized movement.

I could help start one if youre interesting in helping to lead one :) This probably isnt what you were looking for but I figured I would try helping.

Actually, there's an SAGA - straight and gay alliance, also there's SSJ - that says "students for change, justice for all" which would probably address some LGBT issues. Plus, I've been to the campus a bunch of times and I've seen flyers about LGBT events occasionally. I'd say Drexel probably doesn't have the biggest LGBT community but not totally devoid of it, either.

I'd say maybe you could poke around on Facebook maybe? There's already a couple of Drexel groups, you could either try and find people of similar interests, or start a group and you'll find them.
